"TryEngineering on Campus" returns this year for the second consecutive year, from 7 to 13 July 2025, at the Arta campus. The program is aimed at students who have attended the first grade of high school up to the second grade and want to discover the world of engineering and technology through an original, hands-on experience.
During the seven days, students will participate in hands-on workshops that combine theory and practice, working in small groups on topics such as semiconductors and microchips, automation and microcontrollers, artificial intelligence, augmented reality and 3D printing. Participants will have the opportunity to talk to distinguished engineers, visit the facilities of an industry in the county, and receive psychological support from an expert psychologist for an all-round learning experience.
This year, the programme is being implemented with the active participation and support of IEEE Student Branch University of Ioannina – Arta, which contributes to both the organisation and implementation of the workshops, with its members taking on the role of mentors, supporting students in the implementation of projects and enhancing the educational experience with the passion and creativity of the student community.
Participation in the summer school provides an official certificate. Organized transportation is provided for students from points in the city of Arta to the campus and back, while students from Ioannina are also offered transportation, with an additional charge of 50 euros. Classes are held daily, from 10 am to 6 pm, snacks and lunch will be provided, and the total cost of participation has been set at 180 euros, reduced especially for this year.
Applications are made online and will remain open until 30 April 2025. The announcement of those selected will be made on 15 May.
