The IEEE Student Branch University of Ioannina - Arta, in the context of its educational action and the connection of the university with the society, will participate in the organization of the interactive STEM workshop "Tall Tower Challenge", which will take place on Saturday, May 3, from 11:00 to 13:00, at the private kindergarten "Secret Key" in Ioannina (mistikokleidi.gr).

The activity is co-organized by IEEE TryEngineering, the Alma Model Child, Adolescent and Family Center and the IEEE Student Branch UOI - Arta, and is funded by IEEE TryEngineering's STEM Grants, in the context of strengthening STEM education from an early age.

he Tall Tower Challenge is a lesson plan developed by IEEE TryEngineering, based on the methodology of inquiry-based learning and more specifically on the Engineering Design Process. Through this activity, children are challenged to build the tallest possible tower using simple materials while practicing skills such as collaboration, creativity, problem solving and strategic thinking.

The Branch team will contribute to the implementation of the workshop with the participation of student volunteers who will guide the children during the activity.

With actions like this, the IEEE Student Branch UOI - Arta seeks to bring the values of STEM to all ages, starting from the very base of the educational pyramid - children.
