On Saturday 3 May 2025, the educational workshop "Tall Tower Challenge" took place with great success at the private kindergarten "Secret Key" in Ioannina, with the participation of about 35 preschool children and 20 parents, in an activity that combined learning with creativity and play.

The event was co-organized by IEEE TryEngineering, the Alma Center, and the IEEE Student Branch University of Ioannina - Arta, and was funded by IEEE TryEngineering's STEM Grants, aiming to strengthen STEM education at an early stage.

The Tall Tower Challenge, based on the IEEE TryEngineering lesson plan, focuses on exploratory learning and the Engineering Design Process. The children, with the help of coordinators, built towers out of simple materials, engaging their imagination and developing skills such as collaboration, strategy and problem solving.

The contribution of 5 student volunteers from the IEEE Student Branch UOI - Arta, who enthusiastically and responsibly guided the young participants throughout the workshop, was crucial for the success of the action.

The warm response of children, parents and teachers confirms the importance and necessity of such educational interventions, while it reinforces the desire for the continuation of similar collaborations in the future.
