The "Driving Innovation #Ioannina" event, organized at JOIST Innovation Space as part of the Piraeus Startup Accelerator program, was successfully held on Friday, March 6, 2026, in Ioannina.

The IEEE Student Branch University of Ioannina – Arta (IEEE SB UOI | Arta) participated in the event as a guest speaker in a panel discussion, representing the student and academic community in the dialogue on innovation, entrepreneurship, and the connection between technology and the development of the local ecosystem.

During the discussion, the important role played by student initiatives and technological communities in promoting innovation was highlighted, as well as their contribution to creating a dynamic environment of cooperation between universities, businesses, and startups. At the same time, IEEE SB UOI | Arta presented actions and initiatives that enhance students' extroversion and promote their participation in activities that link education with modern technological developments.
