On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Municipality of Arta and the Women's Counseling Center are organizing a series of events honoring the ongoing struggle for equality, rights, and dignity.

As part of the event entitled "The echo of the goddesses in today's woman", which will take place on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the "Dione" hall, the IEEE Student Branch University of Ioannina | Arta (IEEE SB UOI | Arta) and the Epirus XR Center will make a dynamic presence with a special contribution that combines technology, culture, and contemporary thinking.

IEEE SB UOI | Arta, through its collaboration with IEEE SB UniWA, will participate with a special speech by Diamanti Thomais, Head of External Relations at Ogilvy.

At the same time, the Epirus XR Center has prepared an impressive extended reality (XR) experience video, which captures the connection between the ancient goddess and modern women. Through audiovisual media and innovative technologies, the presentation highlights the continuity of female power, wisdom, and creativity from antiquity to the present day.

The participation of the two organizations confirms the active role of the academic and technological community in promoting equality and social awareness, highlighting how technology can be a tool for cultural connection and social dialogue.
