Arta, 19 February 2025 - The open information event of the The IEEE Student Branch University of Ioannina – Arta, that was held at the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the University of Ioannina in Arta.

The Chair of the Branch, Konstantinos Sakkas, welcomed the students and invited them to join the IEEE community, emphasizing the benefits of participation and collaboration within the IEEE global network. She then Membership Chair, Marianna Sotiriou, presented the registration process and ways to actively participate in the Branch.

The guest speaker of the event was Stamatis Dragoumanos, president of IEEE Region 8 professional and educational activities, who spoke to the students about the opportunities offered by IEEE, both academically and professionally, as well as about the activities that are implemented at an international level.

Participants in the event were over 50 students and more than 15 members of the Branch, confirming the increased interest of the student community in IEEE activities.
